Wes Shaw
WES SHAW BIOGRAPHY

Wes Shaw has been painting and
drawing for a good part of his life.
Shaw, of Park Ridge, NJ, is a native
of Philadelphia whose style is firmly
in the New Hope School of American
Impressionism.  The pioneers of the
Pennsylvania New Hope School, like
Edward Redfield, Daniel Garber,
and William Lathrop, left a trail of
oneness with the spirit of
impressionism with brush and
canvas. "When standing before one
of their paintings, one feels the
passion through the signature
strokes that invite the viewer to
share that passion, and carry on and
be part of that tradition," said
Shaw.

Wes Shaw is a graduate of the Art
Center of Design in California and
frequently exhibits in New York,
New Jersey, Massachusetts, and
Pennsylvania.

Among his recent awards are "Best
of Show" at the Tinicum Arts
Festival as well as receiving The
American Artists Magazine National
Competition ribbon at the
Ridgewood Barn.
